Joette S. Doran has almost two decades of legal experience. She formed the professional corporation in 1997 after over a decade of trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts. Ms. Doran has successfully represented clients in all aspects of litigation in state and federal court and administrative proceedings and has successfully tried cases to verdict. She has also successfully negotiated favorable settlements using cost-effective alternative dispute resolution in appropriate cases, including arbitration and mediation. Ms. Doran has handled and argued appeals in state and federal court.

Ms. Doran's litigation practice includes the prosecution and defense of civil litigation matters, including employment, personal injury and commercial actions. She prosecutes and defends employment actions on behalf of individuals and insured and self-insured corporations in state and federal actions and in state and federal administrative agencies. The cases she handles involve actions under state and federal statutes including, Title VII, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Equal Pay Act, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Fair Labor Standards Act and the Illinois Wage Payment and Collection Act. Ms. Doran has also actively handles employment actions involving wrongful discharge, employment torts and contract actions.

In the area of personal injury and wrongful death, Ms. Doran has prosecuted and defended state and federal court actions in personal injury matters including actions based on negligence, premises liability, products liability, workplace violations and under the Illinois Workers' Compensation Act. Ms. Doran also prosecutes and defends commercial actions involving contract disputes and violations of federal and state statutes and regulations.
